 Hulme Vale

Venues such as Hulme Vale which is a traditional Derbyshire Stone Long House comprising Hulme Vale House and Holmes Barn and is family run. A high standard of comfort and luxury are ensured.

It’s rustic charm is enhanced by its location on Tideswell Moor, between Castleton and Peak Forest, and it enjoys sweeping views to the south. To the north is the Dark Peak and to the South is the White Peak making contrasting scenery accessible on “the door step”.

Bedroom Layout is in large rooms with a combination of single beds and adult sized bunk beds with adjoining bathrooms. You will be sharing the room, but with the most appropriate matching possible.

Standlow Farm is near Kniveton not far from Ashbourne and is an assortment of stone cottages, farmhouse and Barn situated in the heart of Derbyshire Dales and with spectacular views.

Once a working farm they have been refurbished with some original features retained and attaining a high standard of comfort and modern facilities. They are set in 9 acres with seating areas, shared garden, play area and games building.

Bedroom Layout : There is a mixture of double, twin and single rooms and you will be placed in an arrangement that is the most suitable for the number of people on the same activity break, with the emphasis being to provide you with your own room.

The New Bath Hotel, Matlock Bath, belongs to Brook Hotels and from the moment you step into it you will feel relaxed and at ease with its warm charm and traditional character. You might even have time to take a dip in the hotel's plunge pool which is fed by natural warm mineral springs from the ground or use the sauna or tennis courts.

All main meals are taken in the Hotel's elegant Lamp and Seam Restaurant which serves mouth-watering British Fayre. Bedrooms are en suite and well appointed. Your room may be situated in either the traditional part or in the modern elegant wing and perhaps overlooking the outdoor pool.

Bedroom layouts available : Twin or Single rooms although you may be asked to share in certain situations or pay a supplement if all Single room allocations have been taken.

Monsal Head Hotel

Occupying an enviable position overlooking one of Derbyshire’s most beautiful dales, the Monsal Head Hotel is at a the hub of a number of walks from the door step. It is located near Ashford in the Water not far from Bakewell.

Traditional and cosmopolitan meals can be enjoyed in the Longstone Restaurant, real ale in the rustic Stable Bar, peaceful relaxation in the Lounge or fresh air on a large outdoor seating area.

Bedroom layouts are doubles and twins, all en suite.

 

Willington Old School Hall

Willington Old School hall is located within the village of Willington and was typical of its era built in 1894 with a school house attached.

It is now the base for various activity and learning groups. Situated in the Trent Valley between Derby and Burton Upon Trent the village fairs better than some with a Post Office, three pubs, a church and a railway station on the main Derby - Birmingham line.

Overnight accommodation can be found locally. Please ask for details.

 

If you want you can also select your own accommodation and come to us on a non-residential basis. A list of some of hotels, B & B's and self-catering units is shown on the Derbyshire page.

Skylark Holidays wants to give you maximum options and flexibility such as giving you the chance to share a twin room to keeping your holiday costs lower if you are prepared to share.

Sometimes there is the option for you to bring your own caravan or motor home.
