Astronomy Beginners 2 Days

During the 2 days you will gain the knowledge to find your way around the night sky and pick up basic use of a telescope. You will spot features on the moon and learn about its phases. Appreciation of the planets, their orbits and movements and pick out the Constellations.

Become familiar with the large scale structures of the universe, Nebulae and galaxies and discuss the the "Big Bang" theory and if time permits you will be given an introduction to cosmology

Observation time will be dependant upon the weather.

Suitable For : Basic maths skills are all that are needed.

Astronomy For the Enthusiastic Beginner 5 Days

During the 5 days you will gain the knowledge to find your way around the night sky and pick up basic use of a telescope. You will spot features on the moon and learn about its phases. Appreciation of the planets, their orbits and movements and pick out the Constellations.

Become familiar with the large scale structures of the universe, Nebulae and galaxies and discuss the "Big Bang" theory and an introduction to cosmology. Learn about star formation, how the Sun works and star death. Introduction to invisible astronomy (radio, UV, X-Rays), Astrophotography and digital imaging and Spectroscopy.

Observation time will be dependant upon the weather and time of year.  Also learn to build your own telescope.

Spanish

These are an informal and fun way to learn a language and to absorb the character of the country.

They will immerse you in learning the language with different themes each day. They will make you aware of the country and its culture which will add to the pleasure of your visit whether for holidays, buying property or socialising. Typical food, wines and drinks will be
introduced so that you know what to expect when you go there !

Suitable For : Complete beginners.

Wine Appreciation

Two days for you to learn wine tasting techniques, what labels can tell you and start to appreciate the different grape varieties. You will begin to get an understand of the wine making process to compliment this introduction to the world of wine. 4 or 5 wine tasting sessions will cover the major producers and make you more informed for selecting wine when you go shopping next or you are dining out. Hopefully you may discover one that is very pleasing to your palate.
