Gain the knowledge to find your way around the night sky and pick up the basic use of a telescope. Explanation of equipment and other “tools” that can be used for the practical aspects of astronomy. Learn your way around the sky and appreciate the planets, their orbits and movements and pick out the Constellations. Spotting features on the moon and learn about its phases. Observation time will be dependent upon the weather and time of year. Hopefully there will be a visit to a local amateur society's observatory. |
