Exploring Colour in Knitting is packed with all the guidance and advice you will need to start to combine colours in your knitting with confidence.

During day one you will learn about mood boards and colour wheels and how to put the use of them into practice. We explore how Fairisle and Intarsia effect colour relations from traditional patterns through to modern interpretations and how using colour embellishments such as beads, sequins and edgings add extra dimensions to your knitting. We will finish the day by gathering inspiration for the next day.

During day two (and three) we will put into practice all we have learned the day before. By using your inspiration, gathered the day before, you will create your own mood board, choose your own colour scheme and design and knit a sample of your scheme.

By the end of this workshop you will go home feeling more confident in experimenting with colour to personalise your knitting.

Brimming with essential advice and ideas this is an invaluable workshop that will set you up on the road of feeling less apprehensive about using colour.

Custom handbags and hand crafted purses are more popular than ever, and bags are a trendy way to show off your personal style.

Knitted bags are great fun to make and provide the perfect opportunity to experiment with yarn and colour.

This workshop will teach you how to create your very own knitted bag. Using a template you will create a design using your own inspiration of colour and texture. You will be choosing a colour scheme, the yarn and beads etc and put them together to knit your very own unique bag.

The workshop starts with an introduction on how to achieve different looks and effects by using a combination of different yarns, textures and knitting techniques. It will teach you how to use beads, sequins, buttons and frills and incorporate them into your design. You will also be shown how to give your bag a professional finish with lining, handles and embellishments.
