Trit Trot Walk

Wm Eyre & Sons

The Trit Trot Trail

Another unique walking trip for you. Two days meandering gently through the beautiful Hope Valley and including a magical hour long ride on a horse drawn dray + ginger beer and cake!

One day you will have glorious walking exploring the wonderful Hope Valley beneath the rugged hills of Mam Tor, Lose Hill and Win Hill and visit the picture postcard villages of Castleton and Hope.

Another day you will head off with Sally Mosley leading you to the stables of Peter Eyre to watch him harness up his pair of majestic shire horses to a dray. Then you climb on board for an hour long dray ride with the treat of ginger beer and lemon drizzle cake as you trit trot through the valley. In the afternoon the dray ride first leads out through the quaint streets of Castleton and heads back to the stables at Brough, located by the side of the old Roman Fort at Navio. After our ride we wander back beside Peakshole Water to Castleton.
