Alison Daykin

Alison is an award winning designer weaver who has been weaving, spinning and dyeing for over 30 years.  She has taught spinning, weaving, dyeing and felt making since 1983.   An HNC from Bradford College gives Alison an added edge when it comes to creating courses.  Alison is the co-author of a stunning new book, "Creative Spinning", published by Gaia.    www.alisonyuletextiles.co.uk


 

Paul Hunt

Paul has held Senior Management roles and has been a Chartered Surveyor with 25 years experience in small concerns and in large corporate organisations.
He is an experienced walker and enjoys visiting unfamiliar destinations to experience new environments and cultures. The last 5 years have seen him in Cuba, Cost Rica, Romania, Iceland and Bulgaria.

     
 

Cheryl Wilbraham

Lancashire born Cheryl qualifed in Scientific and Natural History Illustration and has worked as a successful freelance illustrator producing paintings for use in publishing and advertising. 

In recent years Cheryl has worked as an adult tutor and artist; selling through local galleries.

Specialising in Floral Painting, Cheryl draws inspiration from many aspects relating to the natural world and the human form. 

   

Jeni Smith

Jeni's work is a "fusion" of brightly coloured threads, fabrics, beads and wire worked into contemporary textile pieces. She works for Q Arts, in Derby, runningn workshops and the Activate Programme training artists and creative practionioners who wish to wirk in schools and formal education setting.

   

Rosie Bainbridge

Rosie holds a Wine Spirit Education Trust Diploma and is an accredited tutor. Rosie is presently teaching WSET courses, runs wine tours and private/corporate wine events. Rosie also writes a monthly wine column for Derbyshire Life & Countryside. In addition to her love of Bordeaux, having worked thereon a vineyard , Rosie's speciality is Californian wine.

   

Mark Fenton

Mark leads the walking activities and has a passion for coaxing and encouraging people to have-a-go and to enjoy themselves. He is an experienced group leader, capable of recognising an individuals capabilities and respecting personal choices.

   

Mark Whitehouse

Mark, West Midlands born and bred, studied astronomy at university.   He is a passionate photographer and was a member of a successful and critically acclaimed local photography group, turning professional in 2003 after moving to the South West.  He has had several exhibition.
